Metro Melbourne has plenty to offer, but these inspiring bushwalks will get you driving out of the city in no time. With lush rainforests and picturesque picnic spots, you won’t believe how easy it is to shake off the city and immerse yourself in nature. With treks starting at 4 km to a whopping 36 km we have gathered some of the best trails out there with something for everyone! 

 

Grampians Peak Trail – 36 km 3-day/2-night loop trail

An unforgettable multi-day hike incorporating rugged scenery and spectacular mountain peaks. Looping around from Halls Gap this walk is sure to impress (both mind and muscles!)

 

1000 Steps –  4.3 km

One of Melbourne’s most iconic walks. With picturesque rainforests and a steep incline, The 1000 steps walk is sure to put a smile on your face and sweat on your brow! 



Point Nepean Coastal Walk – 6 km

Part of an Aboriginal cultural landscape this trek will mesmerize you as you trail through the coastal landscape enjoying panoramic views of the ocean.

 

Mount Macedon Walk – 18.8 km

Ever-changing scenery will keep you entertained as you tackle 18 km of one of Victoria’s most tranquil mountains. Be prepared with a nice lunch and really take in all this gorgeous trail has to offer.
