HIKE FOR YOUTH HOMELESSNESS

In the footsteps of expert guides and the company of like-minded adventurers, you’re invited to join us for the adventure-of-a-lifetime along the iconic Larapinta Trail.

One of the most popular treks in Australia, the Larapinta Trail is as sacred as it is remote. Known for its breathtaking landscapes and mountainous terrain, the trail’s rocky outcrops form a striking backdrop to scenic paths that cut passages through awe-inspiring gorges and expansive plains.

Across the traditional lands of the Arrernte people, you will explore sacred sites, including Ormiston Gorge, Euro Ridge and Standley Chasm, traverse rugged peaks and delve into the depths of shadowed gorges.

Most importantly, as part of this exciting challenge, you’ll help Kids Under Cover prevent youth homelessness.

So what are you waiting for? Join Hike for Youth Homelessness today and witness the breathtaking views from the top of Rwetyepme (Mount Sonder), swim in stunning waterholes and connect to Country to raise funds to prevent youth homelessness.

Sign up as a pair and each receive 20% off your registration fee and a 20% reduction on your fundraising target!

On the Hike for Youth Homelessness, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to participate in a physically challenging hike in our own beautiful backyard, while fundraising to help Kids Under Cover support young people at risk of homelessness.

Did you know children and young people make up two out of every five people experiencing homelessness in Australia? That’s 27,683 kids without homes.

There is not enough funding available to provide a Kids Under Cover studio to every family and young person that needs one. In the past 12 months alone we have received more than 850 requests, all of which will go unanswered.

The funds you raise as part of the Hike for Youth Homelessness will help Kids Under Cover build a two-bedroom studio for two young people at risk of homelessness. With your support, we can strengthen their connection to family, community and education, and make a lasting difference in their lives.

We can’t thank you enough for supporting us on this incredible trekking challenge, and we can’t wait to have you on the team.
