Book nowImmerse yourself in the rugged beauty of the Snowy Mountains to support people living with MS!
As part of this bucket-list Snowy Mountains adventure, you’ll experience the majesty and untamed beauty of Australia’s High Country.
From the Austrian-inspired Thredbo village to Charlotte Pass, iconic Blue Lake and Mount Kosciuszko, you’ll discover the best the Snowy’s has to offer. Walking in a small group with like-minded people and under the care of expert guides, you’ll journey alongside cascading icy alpine streams, past historic huts, between weathered snow gums and beside cool granite boulders.
Meandering through versatile vegetation, you’ll admire the stunning display of wildflowers covering the ground while breathing in the crisp fresh air only found in the Snowy Mountains. Perhaps take a drink from one of the many glacier-fed freshwater creeks or marvel at new vegetation thriving on surrounding mountains after disastrous bushfires in 2020 – a reminder of nature’s unmatched regenerative power.
Most importantly, you’ll raise funds to ensure that people living with multiple sclerosis have immediate and ongoing access to expert advice and vital support services — so that no one has to face MS alone.
We hope you can join us on the MS Snowy Mountains Adventure. We know you’ll walk away with treasured memories and the knowledge that you’ve been part of something life-changing!
Multiple sclerosis is unpredictable and debilitating. An autoimmune disease of the central nervous system, it interferes with the nerve impulses within the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves. Over 26,500 Australians are living with multiple sclerosis and there are approximately 2.8 million people diagnosed worldwide. MS is the most commonly acquired disease of the central nervous system and there is no known cause or cure yet.
Multiple Sclerosis Limited (MS) is the go-to provider of information, advice and support for people affected by multiple sclerosis. MS offers a range of vital support services from expert advice, wellbeing programs, peer support and employment to allied health and accommodation, while funding cutting-edge research into a cure.
We’re here so no one has to face multiple sclerosis alone.
A multiple sclerosis diagnosis can be extremely difficult to come to grips with. All of a sudden there is a lot of new information to absorb, questions to ask and key decisions to make. MS is here to support people living with multiple sclerosis and their loved ones at every stage through their journey.
Many of the essential support services MS delivers are only possible thanks to the generosity of fundraisers and donors.
27,640 times last year, people reached out to our MS Connect helpline and were met with a caring person to listen and help them – all thanks to donations and fundraising.
Your donations allowed 1,610 people to receive specialised advice from the MS Nurse Advisor and MS Social Work Advisor services last year.
Your fundraising enabled 4,567 people to register for an MS Education and Wellbeing webinar in the past year to better understand multiple sclerosis.
Your support allowed 604 people to join the MS Peer Support program throughout the last year, to connect with others living with multiple sclerosis.
All funds raised from the MS Snowy Mountains Adventure will fund vital support services to ensure no one has to face multiple sclerosis alone.
There are many creative and fun ways in which you can fundraise. To help get you started we have created an Online Fundraising Resource Hub containing an A-Z guide of fundraising ideas, “how to” guides for certain events and sample press releases and corporate sponsorship letters. Upon registration you will be given the password to access. You will also have regular support from the Soulful Concepts team, who will help you develop a fundraising plan tailored to your network. In addition you will also be supported by MS.
