Tour from AUD: Price available upon request
Our local wilderness guide will collect you from your hotel at your selected time. The drive is approximately one hour from Milton/Mollymook to the base of Balgaan.
Balgaan (Pigeon House Mountain) walking track is one of the best walks in Morton National Park and on the south coast. The walk is pretty steep in parts, but the incredible views make it worthwhile.
You’ll hike through forest, heathland and age-old sandstone before reaching a series of ladders that lead you to the summit and the amazing views of the surrounding National Park and pristine coastline.
Take in the captivating sight of cliffs and gorges within the Budawang Wilderness, all carved by the Clyde River. On a clear day, you may be able to see as far as Jervis Bay and Bermagui, and might even spot a lyrebird or goanna along the way!
We will enjoy a well-deserved lunch with a view at the top of the mountain before we make our way back down.
In addition this journey will see you travel with a purpose, donating to support Treading Lightly, a local grassroots environmental organisation that brings people together to build resilient communities and make positive, long-lasting change towards a sustainable future.
* Travellers are responsible for valid visas throughout the duration of the trip
