Join us on an outback trek through the ancient Ikara–Flinders Ranges National Park, known for its stunning scenery, fascinating geological history, rich cultural diversity and array of native wildlife.
Spend five days trekking rugged mountain ranges, over towering cliffs, into spectacular gorges and beside stony, sheltered creeks. Explore renowned landmarks, including Wilpena Pound, Mount Remarkable National Park, Brachina Gorge and Alligator Gorge, while learning more about the historical and cultural significance of the region.
This is your chance to travel with purpose and create real change in people’s lives – and in yourself. Your journey will be physically demanding, emotionally challenging and scenically spectacular. But, best of all, it’ll raise vital funds to protect the rights of women and girls across Afghanistan.
Imagine what your life would be like if you couldn’t access a high school education, weren’t allowed to work or even walk anywhere unaccompanied. What would you do if you couldn’t access basic medical care or support in a crisis?
For women and girls across Afghanistan, this is their reality. Stripped of their basic human rights, they live in a world where they can be charged and jailed for adultery, yet where men are rarely found guilty of anything.
As part of Trek for Rights 2023, you’ll raise funds to help UN Women advocate for the rights of girls to an education, ensure women have access to livelihoods and healthcare, and continue working with partners to provide services to women fleeing violence.
