    Discover the breathtaking beauty of the Scenic Rim, where rugged mountains, lush valleys, and panoramic views await. This guided hiking experience will take you through some of Queensland’s most stunning landscapes, combining challenging trails with moments of serenity and deep immersion in the natural wonders of the region.

     

    Begin each day with the opportunity to witness spectacular sunrises over the mountains, followed by hikes through diverse terrains. Cross expansive farm fields, descend into the tranquil Oakey Creek, and ascend ridges in search of the endangered Glossy Black Cockatoo. Tackle rocky outcrops as you push your limits, and pause to enjoy a delicious lunch with sweeping views of the valley below.

     

    Throughout your journey, expert guides will share fascinating insights into the local environment, wildlife, and unique ecosystems. After a rewarding day of hiking, return to camp where you can unwind in your luxurious glamping-style tent, enjoy a soothing outdoor hot tub soak, and refresh yourself before a delectable dinner at the lodge.

    This exclusive adventure offers the perfect blend of challenge, relaxation, and connection to nature.     Itinerary

    Day 1: Exploring the mountains of the Scenic Rim
    Your journey begins with a 1.5-hour transfer from Spicers Balfour Hotel, New Farm. On arrival, we’ll collect your luggage and ensure you’re ready for the adventure ahead.

    Hike through the breathtaking mountains of the Scenic Rim, guided by experts who’ll share fascinating insights about the area’s natural wonders. Today’s hike includes approximately 500m of elevation gain on rocky trails ranging from moderate to advanced difficulty. Strong fitness, balance, and stability are key to navigating the terrain confidently.

    Enjoy a delicious morning tea and lunch on the trail, arriving at camp around 3:30 PM (subject to group pace and conditions). After a well-deserved shower, relax in your glamping tent or take a dip in the outdoor hot tub.

    Dinner is served at 6 PM in the lodge, followed by the option to unwind by the fire or enjoy stargazing under the clear night sky.

    Day 2: Sunrise and Scenic Hike
    Day 2: Sunrise and Scenic Hike

    Start the day early to catch a stunning sunrise over the mountains (weather permitting). During warmer months, breakfast will be served earlier to enjoy the cool morning air.

    After leaving camp, we’ll cross farm fields and descend into Oakey Creek, where morning sunlight dances through the trees. We’ll follow the creek before ascending the ridge, keeping an eye out for the endangered Glossy Black Cockatoo, a local resident.

    Using a mix of trails and farm roads, we’ll reach a remote section of Main Range National Park. Here, we’ll test our fitness with a challenging climb along the ridge and over rocky outcrops, stopping for a lunch break with breathtaking views of the valley below.

    Afternoon tea will be enjoyed on the trail before we return to Spicers Canopy. Dinner is at 6 PM, with stories from the day's adventure shared around the table.

    Grading: Moderate to hard 12km

    Day 3: Final Morning: A Relaxed Start
    Wake up to the sounds of nature and enjoy a leisurely morning with a delicious cooked breakfast at 8 AM. Take some time to unwind under the trees and soak in the peaceful surroundings.

    At 9:30 AM, we’ll depart Spicers Canopy, with our bus transfer getting  back to Brisbane, around 11 AM.
