      Trip at a glance

This is your chance to immerse yourself in the rugged beauty of the West MacDonnell Ranges. Located in Australia’s Red Centre, on this six-day adventure, you’ll trek sections of the iconic Larapinta Trail, one of the most popular wilderness walks in Australia. Following the red rock slopes of the West MacDonnell Ranges, you’ll explore the breathtaking landscapes that make this world-renowned trek a National Geographic favourite.

From awe-inspiring gorges and expansive plains to towering mountains and snaking rivers, you’ll trek scenic paths to the heart of the Red Centre and experience a connection to Country unattainable anywhere else in Australia.

To ensure you experience the inimitable majesty and rich history of the Red Centre, we’ve curated a quintessentially Outback adventure that takes in the best sections along the trail. By day, you’ll explore significant sights, including the limestone hills of the Finke River, the unique natural amphitheatre that is Ormiston Pound and climb to the summit of Rwetyepme (1,380m) for incredible, panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, plains, valleys and salt lakes below. At night, you’ll retreat to a bush camp and spend your evenings sitting around a campfire with like-minded women before falling asleep under a star-filled sky.

Travel with purpose knowing that your adventure is supporting Yalari in providing full boarding school scholarships to Indigenous children from remote communities across Australia. A truly soulful experience, you will reminisce on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure for years to come.

      Give back

This adventure isn’t just about exploring stunning landscapes; it’s also about giving back. By joining the Larapinta Women Only Adventure 2025, you’ll be supporting Yalari, an organisation dedicated to providing full boarding school scholarships to Indigenous children from regional and remote communities. A $50 contribution from each participant goes directly to Yalari, helping to create brighter futures for Indigenous children through education.

      Why Support Yalari?

Education is a powerful tool that can transform lives. However, for many Indigenous children in remote communities, access to quality education is limited. Only 65% of Indigenous students in these areas complete Year 12, compared to 89% of non-Indigenous students. Yalari is dedicated to changing this statistic by offering scholarships to some of Australia’s best boarding schools and by providing Indigenous children with the tools, resources, and support they need to thrive. By supporting Yalari, you’re helping to nurture young Indigenous leaders and create a brighter, more equitable future for all Australians.
