Buen Camino! You’ll get used to saying “good walk”, as you join fellow travellers on the famous pilgrimage from Sarria to Santiago. Travel in the footsteps taken by religious followers since the ninth century while walking for five days in this charmingly beautiful region of Spain.
Experience the unique culture of the Camino as you meet other walking enthusiasts and locals alike on this special journey. Pass through quaint villages, visit centuries-old churches and statues, revel in the serenity of the Spanish countryside and cross over babbling creeks in enchanting forests. Enjoy the warm hospitality in the villages we pass through and sample some of the incredible Spanish flavours with local delicacies on offer along the way.
The highlight of your walk will be reaching the UNESCO-listed heritage site of Santiago de Compostela, the final destination of your 114km pilgrimage. Marvel at the unique history and fascinating heritage of the Camino de Santiago in this city of arcaded streets filled with charm.

Multiple sclerosis is an unpredictable and debilitating autoimmune disease of the central nervous system, which interferes with the nerve impulses within the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves.
All funds raised from the Conquer the Camino to Fight MS will be used to fund vital support services to ensure no one has to face multiple sclerosis alone.

After lunch, we’ll transfer to Sarria and from there, our adventure will truly begin. Enjoy travelling through the Spanish countryside and getting to know your fellow teammates.
In the evening your local trekking guide will meet with you for a welcome briefing.

After you leave Melide, the Camino follows a thick forest trail and crosses several streams until you reach the village of Boente. Here we will take time to explore the Church of Santiago then continue onto the mediaeval village of Ribadiso and finally onto Arzúa where we will spend the night. Tonight we enjoy dinner together, sharing our experiences of the adventure so far.

After you leave Amenal you will pass by the Lavacolla, where it was traditional for pilgrims to bathe as they prepared to reach Santiago. You’ll make your way to Monte do Gozo, or Mount of Joy, walking under tall eucalyptus trees. Here you’ll see the Cathedral of Santiago for the first time. You’re nearly there!
Continuing on, we reach Santiago in the early afternoon with ample time to explore the cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site. This is a special place for pilgrims and has been since the ninth century. Share in this very special community that you are now a part of before receiving your Compostela Certificate, marking the 111 km you’ve walked!
