With sweeping valley views and surrounded by rainforests it’s hard to remember that you are anywhere near civilization. This 4 km trail 110 ks away from the city is perfect for that one-day getaway or for a longer stay the Lamington national park has spectacular multiday options .

If you are a lover of waterfalls then this is the trek for you. Amid various types of rainforests and vegetation make your way behind the falls and pass some stunning waterholes!

Begin this trek trailing past rock pools and swimming holes but make sure to have a short rest at the bottom because on the way back up the stairs are plentiful! 300 in fact!

With 17 km of stunning track, this walk requires a decent amount of energy. Stepping from rock to rock over one of many river crossings make sure to wear suitable shoes and take care to check the weather before attempting!

 

Albert River Circuit – 21.8 km

You will navigate the QLD/NSW border on this 7-hour journey through lush rainforests. With a winding path down and a long incline back up this walk is a must-do for all nature lovers.
